Liz Stirk

Artist

Liz works as a professional artist and illustrator from her Little Owl Studio in Mill 2. After studying traditional art techniques under Ken Miles in Hyde, Liz studied Fine Art at Manchester Art School and went on to a career in Graphic Design before moving back into Fine Art and Illustration full time. She now works as a professional artist and teacher from her studio in the Mill. 

Her work is influenced and inspired by wildlife and nature and she has exhibited for many years with the Association of Animal Artists and won through to the final of the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year award. Her work has most recently featured at The Royal Society of British Artists Annual Exhibition 2024 at Mall Galleries, London as well as The Rose Paterson Gallery in Shifnal and The Station Yard in Richmond in 2024. 

Liz will be opening her latest exhibition of work entitled 'West Coast' at the Woodend Studios open weekend Saturday June 29th and Sunday 30th June 2024 featuring the wildlife and scenery of the West Coast of Ireland.
