Woodend Studios…
Woodend Studios is a collection of Artists and independent makers and creators based at Woodend Mill, Mossley; a converted textile mill built in the 1840’s. We are fortunate enough to enjoy the river Tame running by our mill, original a power source for the mill. We also overlook the Pennines and have the Huddersfield Narrow Canal running at the back of the mill. It is great fun to chat with people as they use the Lock.
Woodend Mill has long been home to a creative community, established in the 1970’s after almost 50 years the strength of that community persists. We have a wealth of talent within our walls, often unknown to the wider public. So we are joining forces to raise the profile of the fabulous individuals who share the mill and to invite you to see just what they get up to.
Open Studio events are always a wonderfully busy and exciting opportunity to stroll round the many studios and meet the makers. Our next Open Studio will be in November 2023, the first in many years and it is expected to be fun for everyone involved.
